The Paps Have Been Round!

Hi All,

Apologies for the lack of blogs recently we have been absolutely flat out with one thing and another. Lisa is really working like a trooper and has been looking after the farm dealing with all the weather conditions that England can throw at us. We are so glad that we took the plunge and had the barn floors concreted last year it has made such a difference and the alpacas I'm sure really appreciate it.

Lisa took a call the other week from our counties newspaper, enquiring if we would be willing to have an article written about us and our business as a feature they were running on farming enterprises, of course we agreed and the date was set for a quick chat and a photo. Well that day came round and it felt like we were on a photo shoot session, we are not complaining far from it, we were only expecting one photo to be taken and thought ten minutes and they will be gone, oh no, nearly an hour passed and photo after photo was being taken, we were pleased that they wanted to take their time and make sure we were happy with the pictures being taken and the article to be written. We have received some response and comments already, not bad for a free article.

We have a friend of ours that has been busy building us some partitioning for some new stables that will also double up as alpaca handling bays or holding bays for when shearing time comes round, we have also created a walk way that will double up as an area for injecting alpacas after shearing then enabling us to release them back into the paddocks.

It's been a busy time also with alpaca enquiries and a couple of visits to the farm, which is a good sign so early on in the year that interest is being shown.

Well that's it for tonight, we will be back again soon with some updated pictures of the new stabling/holding bays and if your really lucky some alpaca pictures!!

Take care all
